Land grabs threaten to destroy the fading dynasty
Synopsis
When the massive Lawson cattle ranch has no heir, rival Australian factions see an opportunity to seize control. The series was filmed in the Northern Territory and South Australia in locations so remote they are barely inhabited – let alone screened.
is filled with incredible talent and the backdrop is stunning
Locations include the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park – with special permission from the traditional owners – and Tipperary Station, a real working cattle station that is so large it has its own airfield and school. The plot is believable and easy to follow but the characters are hard to like.
It was so hard to find anyone else
It wasn’t until episode 5 that any of them showed any signs of redemption. The premise of the series is a tragedy upon a tragedy.
Episode 5 brings a sort of reunion and then bam
more tragedy. There are only 6 episodes and maybe episode 6 is what brings it all together but honestly I was so depressed after the first 5 episodes that I couldn’t take it anymore.
There is such an imbalance between hope and despair
It was not an enjoyable watch for me at all. I only stuck it out because I am such a fan of certain actors and actresses.
